Hitching around Europe
I stayed with Felix in hamburg, my first hospitality club contact. It was great. We're both DJs so we spent a lot of time just playing around, and then we went out bar hopping. Even though
i don't drink we had a blast. Hamburg is a really cool city, and i don't think i would have had any idea about it if Felix didn't show me around. During the day he had to work but he pointed me in the right direction and told me of some cool non-touristy stuff to see. I met a bunch of his friends and talked for hours and hours, and then when it was time for me to head out of the city he took me to a good hitchhiking spot.
I also stayed with a hospitality club member in Zagreb, a guy called Alex*. He was also really cool and made me feel at home as best he could in the cramped conditions. He's got two roommates
who are also nice, but one of them didn't like the idea of me staying for too long (I asked for a couple more days so I could party on the weekend) so Alex* was kind enough to get me a room at the local hostel. I spent the next night at the nightclub.
So all in all it's been great. Oh, one more thing. While i was in Zagreb desparately trying to find a place, I called someone who had posted her phone number. She couldn't host me on such
short notice but was quite suprised that I was calling her. I'm going to call some people here in Sofia as well, not for a place to stay but just to meet people. Sometimes I don't have time to wait for email responses, and people are cool about me calling. At least so far no problems =)
